The best thing about Blue Maiz is there they are not stingy when it comes to the toppings!! So. Much. FOOD. This place is similar to Chipotle, but BETTER to me! Blue Maiz offers bowls that you can create with your favorite meats and veggies and they give you PLENTY OF IT. My naked burrito bowl included shredded chicken, fajita veggies, onions, lettuce, sour cream, corn salsa, guacamole, and cheese. I’m happy that I was able to get elotes as well! Took me two times to eat and I still didn’t finish!
I used to visit this restaurant at least once during every NYC trip from my hometown of Amsterdam. Due to COVID, I hadn’t been back for 2.5 years. This year, I took my family on a trip to NYC, and we happened to be in the area during lunchtime, so I decided to take them! It’s just as good as I remembered from my last visit. I highly recommend it! The prices are reasonable, the dishes are of great quality, and, most importantly, they are delicious!
I dined there twice; my first experience was with a burrito, which was a solid option. I didn't have high expectations, especially after enjoying so many amazing places in San Diego. On my second visit, I tried the three blue corn chicken tacos, and they were even better. I prefer to support local businesses rather than going to chains. For just a few dollars more than Chipotle across the street, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
Loved it! We went in 10 mins before closing time and we still had friendly service (rare anywhere in the world imo). The whole family was there preparing to close, it was actually heartwarming to see how close knit they are Had a quesadilla and a burrito, both were great! Good ingredients, fast preparation, friendly service! What else can you ask for? Highly recommend!

For a small little place, surrounded by many many other larger restaurants, the food here was AMAZING! and the portion sizes were well beyond what you’d expect from anything in NYC. Not to mention some of the best I’ve had in a while. Very decently priced and the staff was extremely friendly! If you’re in the area I highly suggest stopping by!
The food at this restaurant leans towards authentic Mexican cuisine. I tried the nachos, which you customize by ordering at the counter, similar to the style at Chipotle. The only downside was that it felt a bit pricey, with my nachos and a medium fountain drink costing $17.
I am thrilled they reopened! The food is even better than I remember. Great service/friendly staff. Way better than the burrito chain across the street.
Wow! I was absolutely impressed by how delicious the flautas are. The flavors are truly authentic! I will definitely be ordering from here again.
