One of my daughters told me that Blue Sushi ???? is her favorite Sushi restaurant in Kansas City. We met some friends at the restaurant for an early Sunday dinner. I love good sushi, but I was not prepared for the next level deliciousness that assaulted my taste buds! If you like spicy food, like I do, definitely order the Shishito Peppers. We devoured two plates of them. The Yellowtail Serrano was also spicy and delicious, however the Sashimi ?? slices were very thin and after two orders of them I was left wanting more. Finally able to get back in after a year of trying on and off when we are in the area. Our server was Kristen, and she was incredible! Both times we have been here the service has been amazing! The sushi being the best we?ve found from here to lees summit is a plus, but bad service can ruin even the best food. There?s usually an extremely long wait so I?d HIGHLY suggest making a reservation, but it is worth it if you have the time. This is absolutely the best sushi and sashimi you can find PERIOD. Quality of food combined with exceptional service and super cool decor makes this my new favorite. Ian is one of the best servers we've ever had and that includes the Michelin star restaurants we've been to. This guy is just so attentive and curious about what others like that is recommendations just hit the mark. Just ask for Ian and what his top five dishes are. Oh the drink menu is off the charts. The owners of this group get it and we'll be nationwide. I have to mention the speed of service and attentiveness again. The food at this restaurant is fantastic. Normally, the service is quite satisfactory, but during my recent visit, it was noticeably lacking. We waited an hour and a half after placing our order on a Tuesday night. I even joked that there were more employees than customers, which wasn't entirely true—there were around 40 patrons and about 20 staff members. My husband and I have spent quite a bit at Blue, and it's been worth every penny. We first visited on Valentine's Day three years ago, and since then, it has become our go-to place for date nights and Sunday happy hours. The service is outstanding, and both managers we've met on our recent visits have made us feel truly appreciated for being regulars. We absolutely love Blue! You've really thrived through the pandemic! We can’t wait for our next visit!

Service was mixed, the hostess wouldn't seat our group(6 people) till at least half our party was there. It was supposed to be a surprise birthday dinner. So making us sit outside kind of ruined the surprise. Servers were very nice, but it took nearly an hour to get our orders. Food tasted great, but it is very pricey. Building looks nice. The best sushi in the KC area. Amazon and the lion king are really good choices. They have a wide variety of choices, spicy to umami flavors. It can be pricey but definitely worth the money
