After we made four unsuccessful calls to reserve a table this afternoon, we drove up without a reservation. At 5:15 p.m. we were blocked at the door by the waitress like two school children. Everything is documented. no greetings, no, immediately asked about the reservation. The restaurant was empty, a car in the yard, an older couple eating. With so much “warmth” we thankfully decided not to have a drink in the self-service area and went straight to the Restaurant Kreuz in Egerkingen. Despite not having a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to the table. Beautiful mountain restaurant with a very idyllic, beautifully landscaped garden, large garden terrace, great view of the whole Gäu, “chalet-like” interior with lots of wood and cozy tables. Very harmonious. Tasteful interior decoration, some of which is also for sale (barn for Gänggele and: excellent food!! great, seasonal game menu and large selection of hearty menus....very nicely prepared and very attentive, friendly service!!
Great restaurant in a great, panoramic environment with a beautiful view of the Mittelland and a wide view of the Alps. Good brunch, food and desserts all mostly from good, regional cuisine, freshly prepared, served by friendly staff. It's always nice to stay here with you and be pampered. Thank you very much!
