Bluetown Fish Chips

A day at the seaside. Taking the unusual non tourist routes to discover the little gems of historic eateries hidden away from the masses. This is the only way to find where the locals of generations eat and drink. Bluetown Fish and Chips is one of my newest and most enjoyable finds of late. I was amazed at the genial welcome of the host, such a down to earth, and enjoyable guy to speak with. Decades of experience oozed from his pores, you just know, when you know. We visited after reading reviews and we were so glad we did. There is quite a lot of history in Bluetown and we often go there but have never bothered to visit the Fish and Chip shop, perhaps because it doesn`t shout out what it is, but that will all change now, after having some of the best freshly friedFish and home cut chips we have had and washed down with a drink from the pub next door, this will become a regular visit for us. A mention also to the owner, who was so friendly and bought out drinking water for the dog and made sure we had all the condiments we needed. Value was exceptional

I travelled across from Southend yesterday, I read good reviews about this place so I decided to check it out. It's a bit out the way from the main part of town, about a 5 minute walk from the railway station, but it was well worth that walk, the owner was just such a nice man, a real pleasure to meet. I ordered cod and chips, it was cooked fresh to order, lovely piece of cod, with beautiful crispy batter, really nice chips aswell, and such good value for money. I recommend anyone paying this place a visit, you will not be dissapointed.

What a terrible meal, everything not nice, threw the lot and went back to Fisherman's Catch in Broadway, first time we have been and first time i have ever had burnt batter on cod roe... styrofoam packaging then made it all sweat so soggy batter on the roe and chewy batter on the battered sausage, nearly cold, not crispy chips also. Such a shame, staff seemed lovely and cooked from fresh.. perhaps change the packaging?? but that doesn't sort the burnt cod roe.... Reserva una mesa ahora

Everything in this chippy is freshly cooked. Call ahead if you don't like waiting on your food but I can tell you the food is worth the wait. There's no small sausages or cod, expect jumbo or large and you'll still be paying the lower than expected price. First visit, very happy. Very nice friendly owners.

Honestly the best fish and chips on the island! No doubt about it! First time we’ve been here and not only is it the best in terms of the food but the service was brilliant. Everything is cooked fresh to order and it’s worth waiting for. We won’t get fish and chips from anywhere is from now on 10/10

The fish and chips were freshly cooked and the owner goes out of his way to be friendly. Not only can you take your dog in and eat at the table but he also provides them with little treats. The food is consistently fresh and delicious.

Exceptional chippy. Cooked while you wait, gorgeous batter, fresh fish ,and an utterly charming owner (Johnny). Seriously good value too. Best fish and chips we've had along the North Kent Coast.

Bluetown fish bar is the best fish and chips around! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Also ask for the king size burger if your feeling hungry and don't fancy cod.
