This is definitely a restaurant for a special occasion. Everything about it oozes style and quality, from the building itself through the décor, the service by a knowledgeable Maitre D and of course the food. Located along one of the main roads leading out of the town of Marmande, it had only been open just over a year when my wife and I visited it in September 2012. There were two menus available for dinner, a four course menu at 42€ and a more extensive one (menu saveurs) at €60. Probably the best meal I have ever had. Why this place is not the number one in Marmande is more than likely because it's not cheap but it is such exceptional value. And the flavours!! For classy beautifully cooked and presented dishes, this far surpasses Hostellerie de Plaisance in St Emilion and Monbazillac's Tour de Vent.
