Bodegon Canario

Was in Callao Salvaje for New Year and have never managed to get into this restaurant before however we managed to get a reservation this time and so glad we did. The restaurant is small however the owner is lovely, very welcoming, friendly and guided us through some menu related questions. My wife and I visited with another couple and we shared chicken croquettes and baked Camembert for starters both of which were lovely. For main we shared the Canarian chicken between 3 of us and my wife picked grilled seabass. The chicken was amazing, chicken thigh and legs cooked in mojo sauce accompanied with lovely vegetables and real home cooked chips. The food was piping hot, tasted great and I will be back here and recommend to others great find

Have been coming to Callao Salvaje for a number of years and decided that we would try different restaurants on this visit. This place is excellent ,the food and service are amazing. Made to feel very welcome by a very friendly host. Generous portions of traditional food and the chips are most definitely the best in any of the restaurants in the village and we will most definitely be back .

It isn’t fine dining but what it is is great food, cooked well by Jose and delivered with a smile by his wife Julie. Just brilliant. For the greedy amongst you the portions are huge too, you’ll not go hungry. See you next time!

Fabulous restaurant went twice during our holiday. Had the Canarian Chicken on the first visit Steak on the 2nd, both meals superb! Very generous portions the lady at front of house is brilliant

Had a meal at bodegon canario tonight ,all I can say is that it was fantastic, excellent food and hosts ,couldn't ask for any more ,will return soon .
