Bodensee-Hotel Sonnenhof

I've never been to a restaurant where your wine is taken away from the table and you have to request a top-up. I imagine that the staff are supposed to keep an eye on your glass but they failed. Good job I'm not a fast drinker! Service was very slow and the place seemed under-staffed. When the food eventually arrived it was very good. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. The terrace is a lovely spot for dinner but don't go late as it is unlit and you can't see what you are eating once night falls.

I have been in this restaurant, which is part of a hotel overlooking Lake Constance a few days ago to have dinner with a business colleague. The view is probably overwhelming when it is not dark outside. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern but still warm. the table decoration was nice and the waiters were quick. Overall food quality was very good and all this for really decent prices. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to enjoy a good dinner at a nice place.

The menu was only in German, so had to rely on the translation by the staff. so had to say what we would have liked and they would then say what was similar on the menu, as it would have taken too long to translate it properly.There was a specials board that I noticed on my last night here, but no reference had been made to it previously.The hotel does not really cater for English speaking clients, and the restaurant is the same.

the good one in the kressbronn area. the starters are also good to try. The best one for me was the salmon with caviare

Fantastic view of Bodensee. Big hotel with SPA , termal pool, massage, in the middle of green country.
