The overall experience with Bole Ethiopian, was by far subpar. I ordered via Uber Eats, but contacted the merchant letting them know I'd be looking to cancel the order. The experience with Uber Eats was another story for another day. However, the restaurant staff at Bole Ethiopian lied and marked my order as completed/customer picked up, but never made my order. My husband did visit the restaurant prior to them making the order, informing the owner that we no longer wished to wait for the order to be prepared as the wait time exceeded what was advertised on Uber Eats. They informed me, that in order to cancel my order I'd need to do it through Uber Eats. Not a problem. Uber provided a run ar...

This was a place I'd had on my list and never got to it. Finally a reason to celebrate try out a new place my friend's 50th! We went on a Thursday evening which wasn't busy so no reservation required. We were fortunate enough to get seated in the section where Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies are done. So traditional with the wood stools and woven baskets! For dinner we went for The Taste of Bole sampler to experience everything and share. To drink we shared a bottle of honey wine that's made in house. My friends said it was sweet and like nothing they'd had before. The sampler includes a mix of their greatest hits Kitfo, Doro Wot, Shirro, Veggies, Beef Awaze Tibs and Lamb Tibs. Served with injer...

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I was NOT disappointed! It's a very family-type vibe in there, which is already very comforting. I wish i remembered our server's name but she was lovely. As for my food, for starters I ordered Sambusa and the Chickpea Wot, and for dinner I ordered the Vegetarian Combo (more details in the pics) When I first looked at the plate, I thought, oh maybe I'll have some to take home. After that first bite, I wiped that plate CLEAN. Looking back I don't even know if I was that hungry, I think I was so taken aback by how delicious and rich in flavor everything was. I left feeling so full and happy, there's nothing better than trying something for the...

We're in Atlanta for just one night, stuck at an airport hotel and decided to have Bole delivered via door dash. We had the Bole combination, beef awaze tibs, extra collard greens and red lentils. Very rarely do I feel the need to jump on social media after stuffing myself with food, but the quantity and quality of what we had tonight dang near demanded it. I'm literally sitting on a hotel balcony, surrounded by leftovers, trying to think of a better meal I've ever had. It honestly brings me back to the very first time I ever had Ethiopian cuisine. Sheer fireworks and magic to my tastebuds. Thank you Bole for making our little stopover in Atlanta magical for this self proclaimed foodie.

This was our first visit to Bole, where we met my second cousin, who was in town for a brief six-hour layover. Since he had never tried Ethiopian food before, we decided to go all out and ordered Bole's Taste of Ethiopia, which was plenty for the four of us. To add some kick, we enjoyed a couple of ginger beers. I absolutely love how satisfying injera is, and it’s great to be able to scoop up all the different dishes with it. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a strong scent of incense, which is typical in traditional Ethiopian restaurants, especially after coffee ceremonies. The host was exceptionally friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable.

Super cute established. Clean and put together nicely. The food is amazing 10/10. The efficiency of the service could use some work. We waited a little more than 30 minutes for our order, and our servers didn't check on us as frequently as I would've liked. Granted they were very nice when they did, and there were only two ladies taking care of a lot of customers, so I get it. We will definitely return, but my advice is to not wait until you're on E to stop in because you'll go from hungry to hangry before your food arrives lol.

I wish I had taken a picture of our platter before we demolished it, but we were more interested in the unique eating experience than the photo opportunity! Food is served on a platter and consumed with Injera, a type of flat bread. (If a tortilla married a pancake and had kids, they would be Injera! No plates or utensils. Everything was delicious!

Today for lunch after the church at 1 o'clock. Usually do to go. But today it wanted to eat. The food was delicious and the waitress was really nice. Ordering was quickly and not too long a waiting for food!! Definitely feel full, good and ready for a nap after eating here!

We've eaten here a few times in the past, and it just gets better and better. Not being intimately familiar with Ethiopian cuisine, I'm usually a first for the dishes I get. I'm really enjoying these moments of introduction. Till the next time...
