First time trying Ethiopian cuisine. I was referred here by a friend of Ethiopian decent. Atmosphere: it?s clean, and comfortable not huge but enough space to sit and eat comfortably. They have a bar area and outside dining as well. Service: Myexperience unfortunately was that service was mediocre. I came during lunch which wasn?t busy. No greeting. No direction justkind of figure it out. My server didn?t seem to really understand the language that well as I told her that I knew what I wantedto order and she just walked off for 7-8 minutes until I had to physically get up and get her. There was a young man tending thebar area who was helpful and came back over to take my order. I sat here fo...

Nice, friendly atmosphere with a decent amount of seating inside and a huge patio. Street parking only so I imagine it gets hard to come by on busier days. Speaking of, you should probably make reservations for popular times since they 've gotten a lot of attention being on the MSP Mag 50 best list.I got the small veggie sampler with: miser: red lentils and berbère fasolia: green beans, tomatoes, and spices tiqel gomen: cabbage, potatoes, carrots in a light curryEverything was excellent with lots of flavor. At 4oz of each the small sampler is definitely enough food for one person. The miser has a very small hit of spice from the berbère but not spicy at all. The gomen is very mild and is alm...

Wow! It was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and it was absolutely delicious. I grew up enjoying raw beef laab, so I was thrilled to learn that Bole offers several raw beef dishes. When I arrived at Bole, we were placed on a waitlist because we didn’t have a reservation. While we waited at the bar, the bartender, Sarah, overheard us mentioning that we were starving, so she quickly brought us a menu to start with appetizers. Sarah realized it was our first experience with Ethiopian cuisine and helped us choose dishes that we would enjoy. The meat entrees were perfectly seasoned, and the vegetables we ordered (I didn't get a picture of them) were fantastic. I highly recommend the vegetable...

We return to Bole Ethiopian at my kid 's request for their birthday. We learned last time to make a reservation as they are BUSY. We ate outside. The place is clean and nice both inside and out. We chose the Tour of Ethiopia with veggie samosas for our meal with an extra order of bozena shiro. We were served in a decent amount of time and the food/wot was excellent. each wot had its own flavor and the flavors were outstanding. we needed extra injera but that was brought as needed. The servers kept up with filling our waters and we got Ambo, too (naturally carbonated water from the city of Ambo, Ethiopia). We lived in Ethiopia for 3 years and this food is quite similar. If you want a taste of... Reserva una mesa ahora

We ordered the tibs combo and beef sambusa, which claims to be enough for 4-5 people, and it definitely would have been! With just three of us, we had plenty of leftovers. Everything in the tibs combo was delicious, but in my opinion, the awaze tibs stood out as the best. The gomen and ater kik were also tasty, but my favorite vegetable dish was the miser—so full of flavor! If you haven't tried Ethiopian food before, be ready for slower service compared to typical American restaurants, but that's all part of the experience. Just relax and take your time to truly savor your meal!

I walked in at 5:30 on a Friday without a reservation and was seated right away. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was impressive given how busy the restaurant was. We ordered the veggie sambusa and the Chef's Veggie Sampler, which was more than enough for two people. The restrooms could use some cleaning, but they were functional. I can't really fault them for that, especially since it was so crowded—after all, bathrooms don't generate income! I'll definitely be returning!

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant—no lines, no waiting! The service was excellent, and the menu offered an amazing variety of food and drinks. Our group of four shared the tasting tour, which included sides and a bit of everything, and it was more than enough for us. We also tried the honey wine and some desserts. I can't wait to return and share this hidden gem with all my friends!

It was a great experience. The food was delicious. We ordered crispy kitfo, which was made of ground beef with traditional herbs rolled in traditional injera bread. The taste was synergy of a little sour and a little spicy. The striped beef was mixed withonion, garlic, pepper etc. it was juicy and a little spicy. The herbal tea was also pretty good. Staff were friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

This is undoubtedly my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the Twin Cities. The food is outstanding, and the outdoor seating is delightful during the summertime. I usually order a combination of vegetable and meat dishes, and I've never been let down. I highly recommend trying the veggie wings at least once! Food: 5/5
