My wife and I ate several meals while staying here (see our other review under Bordello Hotel, Bar and Spa) recently. The beer selection is varied and expertly curated by Martin, one of the owners, and the wine list is excellent featuring several of our favourite central Victorian wineries among others.The food menu is one of those painful-in-a-good-way "I can't choose, everything looks good" menus. Some of our favourites were the T-bone steak, the lamb rack, and you absolutely must try the mushrooms. They claim on the menu they're the best you'll ever have - which we were very skeptical about - but they truly were.The live music was spot-on, playing a great mix of songs everyone was enjoyin...
We Stayed here over night, when we arrived we waited around for a fair amount of time to be checked in, even though it was not busy and felt like we intruding if anything. The lady behind the counter of reception was very rushed. We got a rude awakening 45 mins before check out time and when we said we would be out by the checkout time, they continued to knock on our door every 10 minutes, despite it only being 9:15am and check out was at 10am! The star were rude and not hospitable at all! Room was fairly nice though.
Fed up of bog standard then this place will give you different.The food menu looks standard but the tapas are anything but.The wine list not local but a fine selection.The beer list is to savour. Over 50 beers that the owner will give you a full description and recommendation of them all.The owner will make sure you are not lonely if on your own. Giving his full attention to all his customers seems natural to him.
This very old building has had several very different life experiences, one even as a brothel in a ruined section at the back. The interior decoration has been brilliantly done, at least judging from Room 7 downstairs where were.You need to love local colour to appreciate it. We ourselves did not eat or drink there but our friends did and returned several times. Excellent value accommodation.

We have been here before and love the atmosphere and character behind the bar. It is a Saturday night and the female duo playing have great harmonies. Lots of beers so the bloke is extra happy. Limited chardy options but still VG.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and found the manager to be extremely pleasant, respectful, and helpful in explaining all of the menu options available to us.
We must like this restaurant. Two couples have gone there 4 times now. Great service, great food, great imported Belgian beer, great hospitality. Will visit again.
5 stars!!! Amazing food and best wine and beer in town! A hidden oasis in a hectic town! Can not fault this place at all!! customer service is the best by far!!

We enjoyed a few drinks and nibbles in the afternoon before dinner at another venue the food wine and service were all very good
Enjoyed our time here. Lovely intimate place to dine, with friendly service & great location. We will be going back to Bordello.
