I continued to support the restaurant even after the dip in service, although my visits dropped to less than once a month. On one occasion, I was overcharged for an item when there was chicken available instead of a pricier meat, but I chose to let it slide. A few months ago, however, I had a particularly disappointing experience. The man at the counter, whom I assume is the owner or a manager, gave me a soda refill and brusquely told me, "This is your last refill." His tone was insulting, and since that encounter, I haven't returned. The picture I included is from my last visit.

I used to visit this restaurant during my college days when it was still under the old family ownership, and I absolutely loved the food, especially the fries. However, I stopped by recently to grab lunch on a busy workday, and when I got to my office and opened my food, I found a white human hair mixed in with my salad, and the meat was overcooked. When I brought this health concern to the owner's attention, he refused to offer a refund for the hair in my food. This used to be a fantastic family-owned place known for its friendly and attentive service, but this experience has really turned me off from BHOP.
I love this place. The owner is extremely nice and my pepperoni pie was exactly the “Boston-style” pizza I enjoyed during my last stay in Boston over 30 years ago! Yeah, there’s good pizza on the North Side but this joint’s pie was comfort pizza at its best.
rude.rude rude!!! they have no customer service skills. and if I had read beforehand that they were racist, I would never have given them my business.

This is my favorite place to go for lunch at BU. Very reasonably priced, good selection and the family who own it are the best- very friendly!!
The food the people that work there treat me, my wife our little boy like we are family, we love going there everytime we go there
Great food and an even greater staff! Always a pleasure to swing by BHOP for a gyro, pizza, salad or sandwich. You can't go wrong!
They are quick and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the sandwiches; they are my favorites.
