Visitors from Melbourne enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Botanic Cafe after a morning of exploring the gardens. The chicken and mushroom filo with salad was perfect, and the husband's spinach and mushroom quiche and salad were also delicious. It was refreshing to find a restaurant that offered healthy and tasty options without serving everything with a side of chips. The only suggestion would be to have better signage directing customers to the chilled bottles of tap water in the fridge. Other than that, the experience was great. The wait staff were prompt and the lunch was scrumptious. Thanks to Botanic Cafe for a perfect end to a great morning, and for providing clean toilets nearby.
I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Hands down the worst service and coffee in Cairns. Lady always has a scowl on her face. Don't come here, it'll ruin your day. Been here twice and service is ALWAYS slow even when there's only just one other customer. We were told it was table service then when we sat down and asked for water, were told to get it ourselves. Coffee is disgusting. Wait staff are totally clueless and not switched on. Food: 1
I ordered an coffee that came which wasn't even half a cup full for $8 something and unfortunately ordered a cake unknowing of the price, was ment to be orange and almond, tiny cake came with 2 orange slices on side which was just odd, was cold and hard to then to my surprise was a shocking $14!! Have eaten there a few times now with different friends. Service can be a little slow but it's such a fantastic spot I forgive that. Food has always been just fine. If you haven't been, put this on the list, and have a bit of a saunter as well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing some of the best service at this restaurant. The owner, Kimmy, truly goes above and beyond for her customers. I hope she receives great karma in return. The setting is lush and beautiful, and the staff is very accommodating.
What an absolute abomination. Food terrible, service terrible, a thousands signs plastered all over the joint. “Water only for customers” “tables only for customers” what an absolute disaster. I suspect the location is the only thing keeping them in business.
Great service, great variety, great food! Super friendly owners and love the fact that they are hands on and people orientated. I really enjoyed this cafe... Will definitely be back again!
This restaurant is a great spot to bring the kids for breakfast. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.

Loved it on Wednesday then again today. Especially loved the visit from the scrub turkeys.
Terrible service, rude and slow. Food was pretty ordinary too.
