Boudreaux's Louisiana Seafood Steaks

The reviews I saw led me to believe this would be a good choice on our first visit to St Joe. Disappointed. I had the shrimp etoufee. The shrimp were large, not seared at all, could have been cooked a little bit longer, and were not seasoned at all. The sauce had no trace of the so called Holy Trinity (celery, onion, peppers), it also had NO flavor. I added salt and pepper in an effort to eat it, but it needed much more. I’ve been here twice. The first time it was amazing! I got a blackened fish with rice and beans and its was delicious and full of spice. This time I got the Courtbuillon, presentation was great, but nearly gagged when I took the first bite. It was so bad I wanted to send it back but was on lunch from work and did not have time to deal with it. It tasted like dirty old catfish that was not cleaned properly. I grew up eating catfish that was soaked in saltwater to remove the “mud” taste. This restaurant seemed to have added the mud from the bottom of the missouri river. I blamed it on the catfish, but even the shrimp tasted too fishy, and I love fish! There was little to no flavor in the sauce...

We stopped for a late lunch. They stated the lunch menu was smaller portions but I consider the portion size definitely dinner sized. The food was wonderful, the staff was friendly and on spot, and the atmosphere is nice and eclectic. The prices were really fair... especially for the amount of food. I had the Seafood Courtboullion and Potatoes Boudreaux...yum. My son was very happy with the Hamburger Steak and my husband with the Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. Their onion rings are some of the best I have tasted! I highly recommend Boudreaux's and they will be our go to whenever we are in the area!

Food is always amazing. Highly recommended for anybody visiting town to check out this place. Parking is usually a little rough and if you go during peak late dinner hours place is always extremely packed, loud and overwhelming. I have yet to go at a calmer time but I personally prefer the calmer envirement during less peak times Reserva una mesa ahora

A great taste of Cajun food in the Midwest! Would recommend to anyone passing through Saint Joseph. It can be loud, and food can be slow sometimes because the place is always busy but it is worth the wait.

Service is second rate, food is ok, but nothing spectacular. Alligator bites are so small... try that cajun place across the bridge to get some good Alligator.

The worst service I've ever had in a restaurant! I understand if they are busy but people that came in after me got waited on just fine!
