Boulangerie Charlet

Over the last two years we have had the pleasure of buying bread and pastries from Charlet Prices are not cheap but the product is fab.Every weekend there is a queue outside the door of eager customers waiting to buy pastries etc.They work very hard and recently built a large extension onto the bakery.This is now a large cosy snack restaurant with a wonderful wood burner in the centre.A great place to relax, right by the Barboleuse tram stop ( to Villars or Bex)

Called I here with my daughter in law and granddaughter hoping to have lunch. We were greeted on entering by the most surly person serving behind the cakes, bread counter. We walked on into the main part and again a gentleman simply looked at us! I asked if we could have lunch, there were only two small tables in use, and I didn't get a reply so we walked out. I have experienced this surliness here before when buying bread so maybe I just pick a bad day!

As a frequent visitor over the years the produce they make is excellent. The best bread you can buy. Compared to UK prices it is expensive but worth it. Cakes are fresh varied and delicious. Great place for a sandwich or salad for lunch. Coffee is very good in their cafe which has been updated over the years. Staff can be a a bit business like at times. Well worth a visit if waiting for the train.

When I am in Gryon this is were I get my bread for breakfast and lunch and cakes for the coffee. Croissants are always great quality and we love the multi- cereale and pain noir. Only regret, as mentioned by other reviewers as well, is the friendliness of the service. It can be warmer and more personal. Coming here for over 40 years I believe I can fairly attest this. We've been coming here for years the recently added extension makes it even better. The food is ideal for a quick breakfast, lunch or simply coffee and cake. The earlier on the day the better as mid to late afternoon choice can be more limited. The bread they sell is excellent probably the best I've eaten. Well worth a visit.

If you want to have great sandwich or cake you have to visit this cafe also you will have great meal.All waiters are good speaking English and willing to help you because they have a wonderful variety of cake and sandwiches you will love allI highly recommend this if you visit villars

An amazing selection of bread, cakes and pretty much everything. Glad I don' t live here or else I would be huge. Visit every morning for breakfast bread and cakes for dinner. Try the Corn bread, the Milk bread, the Cheese Straws and any of the cakes and chocolates.

Boulangerie and Tea Room Charlet is wihout a doubt the best place to by you daily bread, cakes, and all kind of pâtisseries. It is where the locals hang out and where tourists meet them! Great and friendly staff, do not miss it! Reserva una mesa ahora

The tarts are superb as is the bread and the croissants. Also fab sandwiches. We often have a coffee when we go for bread but the staff are not the friendliest. New extension will be great
