This is a great place for your breads. There are many baguette options as well as 'dessert' breads and pastries. We ordered a croissant and traditional baguette. The croissant had that lovely buttery and rich flavor. Our only complaint was it could have been cooked a minute longer. (Upon returning the following day we saw the croissants were cooked longer). The baguette was very good, and when toasted had that amazing crunch without being too hard. We also tried a chocolate praline dessert. I found it a bit too sweet (I prefer very rich dark chocolates) but my partner liked it a lot. I think tomorrow we'll try a fruit tart!
Delightful patisserie/boulangerie open all day on Sunday. On way to chateau de Samaur passed a very long queue of locals, and assumed be closing at 1pm. On return in nasty rain shower, found open and had a delicious late lunch of cheese and broccoli quiche, with a nut and caramel patisserie! Both very generous sizes and shared with a really good coffee each. Definitely best boulangerie of our cycling visit in the Loire., very nice staff and owner genuinely interested that we enjoined every thing. Superb, thank you
On a very cold November day we were looking for a cafe for a coffee and cake. We found this lovely warm little boulangerie/patisserie and cafe open and welcoming. Friendly staff and a nice choice of artisan savories, cakes and bread. Very fairly priced hot and cold goodies, nicely served in their small cafe, with outside tables for warmer days. Good quality and very tasty. Also very clean ‘services!’. Definitely one to try.

Pourquoi les commerçants ne sont-ils pas plus aimables, plus accueillants à la clientèle ?Le pain est bon, les gâteaux sont bons (*), mais la serveuse fait la tête du matin au soir ; dommage, j'irai ailleurs.(*) les gâteaux, mais pas le pâté aux prunes

La meilleure boulangerie de Saumur et ses alentours (et plus).Un lieu où le mot "approximatif" n'existe pas. Tout est délicieux.
