The Pfauen is nestled in the middle with Schorndorf adjacent to the plaza; a quaint little hotel with about 10 rooms provides some amenities that other small German and European cities/towns don't; having air conditioned rooms during the warm summer months is certainly one of them. When the restaurant is open it has fantastic food, however it seems like the hotel has changed hands several times over the past few years, hence changing menu and hours. The Pfauen has very modern rooms and furniture, and the service has always been outstanding; I highly recommend this hotel, and this town for business or pleasure.
after the little restful leaving of the family crinkled the paw more badly than right before itself. that has changed: the opportunity has been taken into the hand and with the taking over of a part of the Bachofer staff created a good basis for a perfect service with good knowledge. the very good, slightly Austrian-styled, kitchen with schorndorf adapted portions delights the Swabian heart with a very pleasant price-performance ratio. the wine card is small, regional, but fine. Here you can come back!
super-friendly reception from always well-launched service, so the evening can succeed. Thanks to the beautiful weather we could use the pleasant terrace on the 1st floor and started refreshing with a rosè champagner. the reddish was not only pretty to look at, but also excellent in terms of bite and taste, the accompanying pfifferlings, without sand, were not too few. as a fine dessert we rounded off the menu with the almost famous top knuckles and yogurt, hmmmh, beautiful!
as always, eating was excellent, the service was very friendly and present, but not intrusive. the one or other loose word of the waiter has further relaxed the atmosphere. weincommands very good.Success concept: appetizerbuffet / main dishes (4 for selection) served at the table / dessertbuffetthe main dishes were so portioned that you could sample several of them.With 44 euro incl. champagner at aperitif a very good price-performance ratio.
we were in the peacock for the second time in the last months and were very done again. the top concept complements the gastronomy in schorndorf really well. besides the more traditional dishes we also find the other dishes (e.g. kalbsherz) excellent. the very high quality of the feeds is continued in the fine selection of open wines and the very nice and competent service. the ambiente (drinking and outside) is also really nice.
we have eaten in this restaurant recommended by friends, very characteristic, especially in the upper floor, typical eating of the opposite are recommended apple cubes with vanilleeis. the only negative note is the slowness with which they have served us, especially because we had children who normally do not want to wait long between the courses.
