When we received our meals, the ribs were indeed old, dry, and tough, while the sides were cold and tasted greasy. We ate what we could but ended up leaving most of the meal untouched. About 15 minutes after leaving Bowie's, we had to pull over because we all felt nauseous. I tried to reach the owner to report our experience, but he wouldn't speak to me or return my calls. I will be reporting them to the health department.
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food was excessively salty, and the staff didn't seem very friendly; they mostly just stood around and stared. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. Additionally, one of the employees did something quite off-putting, which was hard to believe actually happened.
This restaurant has been around for 37 years and has consistently provided excellent food. The barbecue is fantastic, and the catfish is always fresh. The service is outstanding, and the prices are reasonable.
I stopped by for a late lunch, and the location is convenient right off the interstate. We ordered a catfish plate and a sausage plate, and everything was delicious. The hush puppies were especially tasty! Reserva una mesa ahora
Very good food and service! Had the 3 meat combo plate with pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. Sides were macaroni and cheese and baked beans. Everything was awesome ?
