I was here pre-pandemic and was very impressed by food, but not impressed enough to write a review. Post-pandemic, my friend and I visited again and we were so impressed by the polite services we received. The dishes were all very tasty and generous portions. What led this review was because we get much better services than those in places that serve $38 /Entrée. I visited this restaurant before the pandemic and was very impressed with the food, but not enough to write a review. However, after the pandemic, my friend and I visited again and were extremely impressed with the courteous service we received. The dishes were all delicious and came in generous portions. It used to be my place, but recently something changed. The menu is somewhat different and they have definitely clinked the price for BBQ grilled dishes. They used to be $14 and now $28. Inflation did not rise to 100%, but I assume it is to help the other BBQ over the alley that has the same property. The Sizzling Works had a completely different, chewing texture and did not feel fresh as before.
Nothing beats Korean soft tofu stew on a cold winter day. The place is convenient. It is popular among the young adults. The tofu soup itself can use more flavor, perhaps more soybean paste. Order the fried chicken half spicy and half regular) togo. Chicken was too dry and like eating cardboard. It used to my favorite place for fried chicken but not anymore. Also the salad that comes with the fried chicken is not fresh at all. The veggies smells like it has been sitting for awhile over a week). Bad overall quality.
