Good quality food and even better service. The quantity of the dishes are large enough to satisfy your needs and that of your wallet, however some of the more popular fresh seafood items will sell out very quickly. Unfortunately, the real issue is they don't have any boxes to help you pack up the remaining food, if applicable, meaning there is inevitably going to be a lot of unnecessary food waste at the end of the day.
We weren't able to get through on the phone to book and weren't sure if the on line booking had been successful, so turned up anyway. Lovely staff, lovely food, very busy. If I hadn't been so tired I would have loved to mooch around and soak up the whole place but I was in my wheelchair so that just wasn't possible. Small place, packed with atmosphere, not to be missed.
We went on Mother's Day and had a lovely lunch. I chose my starter from the main menu and main from the Sunday Lunch menu. The king prawns in tomato and garlic were fantastic and, as I chose for them to be peeled, it was even better. The roast pork was beautifully cooked and served with plenty of freshly cooked veg. All in all, a very enjoyable lunch.
A large party of us at dinner here, we were very well looked after by the staff. The food is all freshly cooked, very tasty and the portions were good. The whole atmosphere of the place was suited to the food served, from the decor to music and even smells made it a comfortable location to sit and enjoy the lovely meal.
