Brasserie Des Lonnes

My wife, who had visited before with her mother, and I had lunch here whilst staying in Isle sur la Sorge. We were warmly greeted by Valerie, who operates at speeds not usually seen outside the Olympics ! Not that we were at all rushed, it's just that she manages to service many tables and manages the front of house operation. My wife had charcuterie (excellent) and I had Lardon Salad (superb). We both had Saute Pork which was exceptional, and a creme brulee. Washed down with some great local wine this was a gastronomique delight. It's off the tourist trail, but busy with local trade. We wanted somewhere to have lunch after a 1pm pickup of family at the Avignon tgv. This place fitted the bill open till 4pm, easy to find, good typical local food, reasonable prices and good service. It was packed with locals and all appeared to be happy and enjoying themselves as were we. The lady in charge is a front of house gem. The food was a terrific experience for us all. We had rabbit in mustard sauce, a massive salade du jour with meat, eggs, artichokes and a whole burrata and the truffle ravioli. Great value, great fun.

This is a local's place. A lot of retired people or workers eating a long lunch and then playing pétanque. Food is fantastic and less costly than a tourist spot. Don't tell the tourists about this place.

Amazing food. Nice staff. Great magician. And overall a lovely setting. We were here on a holiday. Come here please now.
