We arrived for dinner last night and were promptly served by the efficient and courteous waiters who seated us & set the table quickly, provided us with menus and provided us sufficient time to peruse the menu. Our ice peach teas were delivered quickly. Service was provided with a sense of humour and understanding that we only speak very basic French and are mainly English speakers. We went for lunch with our kids (4 & 7). The kids didn't want anything from the kid's menu so they chose a pizza to share which was brought to the table pre-cut in half and a separate plate each for the kids without us having to ask. The burgers were very tasty - a word of warning to ask for them well done if you don't like your burger with a pink centre. Portions were very generous! but luckily I could just about manage a cafe gourmand afterwards which was an espresso with 5 mini desserts. Great service, good price and nice food.
We ordered here last night, and then proceeded to wait at least an hour with no food arriving at all. After two occasions of asking the waiter what was happening (and getting fairly brusque responses) and observing three tables who had arrived later than us receiving their food, we gave up and went to pay the bill and try somewhere else. We had consumed three glasses of wine/beer between the two of us while waiting, and the waiter did not charge us for these in acknowledgement of the situation.
Our failure to book somewhere in Albi for our supper on a Saturday evening was of course our own fault, but this Brasserie a few steps from our hotel filled in very well indeed. A Steak Frites and a Beer was all I wanted and that is exactly what I was given. In no sense haute cuisine, but somewhere where both locals and visitors could be re-fuelled well at modest cost! What's not to like?

In Albi for the afternoon and arrived at lunchtime. Always difficult as one of us is a vegan. Pleasantly surprised to find a veggie burger on the menu here. It arrived with gorgeous chips and a lovely salad. The burger also had roasted veg and tomato confit and was delicious. A demi of red and a coffee, completed what was a really delicious meal with good service.
Reasonable choice of the usual lunch things - pizza, burgers etc but very nicely presented and flavoursome. Good value for money. I had half pizza with salad for 10 Euros. Friend had burger which was excellent.
It was the second time I visited this place. This time I was disappointed as it seems the quality is decaying. Also the environment is not taken care of. There are much better options near the cathedral.
Always good staple menu, value for money in it's central location. Service ok and food consistently good. The menu is varied and wine by the carafe is reasonably price.

We popped into this place for an afternoon glass of wine. We didn't eat there but the food coming out to other customers looked very nice.
We had a one very good meal and another of pizza that was just okay My first visit I had the Magret de canard which was excellent.
