Restaurant of the hotel Au Cœur du Village We had a seminar here and had a few meals in the restaurant. The food was in general fresh and well prepared, especially the deserts were very nice. Yet I was disappointed: A star house and...they are not capable of serving anything else to a vegetarian, but fish. Seemed to me the chef does not know what a vegetarian is eats. Maybe wikipedia can help... So I ate the fish three times. The first day they had even ignored the fact that there was a vegetarian in the group, but at least there they created a nice vegetable dish very quickly. Due to my wife skiing injury we came over from Grand Bornand for lunch. Only one other diner in a large room. Not really the sort of place you rock up with your ski boots on so I guess that's why its not that busy....Slightly confusing selection of menus. We had chosen a couple of starters and mains to be told they were more like mains even though under the starter section. Regardless I wanted to try the Croque Monsieur with truffle which was delicious but large and Ellie had the Asian prawns. I then had the risotto with prawn and we also had the sole with onions and leek. This restaurant is situated in the best hotel in town Au Coeur du Village' and has all the ingredients to give you a Michelin Star diner experience. The table setting is nice and spacious and allows for a nice private and intimate diner. The only...thing we didn't like is the fact that the view from our table was on the lobby of the hotel; this could be improved. Furthermore the staff was very well trained and the service level was of Michelin star' quality; excellent! But maybe that's also why we had expected more of the food..... we had decided not to have the tasting menu, but a taste of the fabulous snacks, and we immediately changed our mind and ordered the cursor menu with accompanying weeps. we were not disappointed by every dish the highest quality ingredients, perfectly cooked...and shed. the favorites at the table were the foie grass, the bark meat and both the wonderful desserts. tomas is a very talented chef and obviously has a great team and baked chef. service was wonderful by justine and pierre and we were thoroughly supervised. the restaurant seemed just as good for couples as families and even a large group celebrates birthday.

can not understand why so low on T/A! we came back after a great lunch a few years ago, but to dinner this time. we had thrown a perfectly balanced course surprise menu with a few extra courses. they stand up for me...was the cured local sweetwater fish and the chicken cooked in vinegar. these dishes are very complex and beautifully assembled. a good wine card with fair trips from the whole environment our menu was everyone, but in our understood the best restaurant in the city and one must visit when here.
we had the set menu here a night that offered a beautiful mushroom veloute, meerred thunfisch, pork in red wine and the excellent cheese room. our only problem was the kitchen smell. the personal collects around the electrical doors they open more. as they should and therefore, when they are sitting near them, they can overwhelm their meal by the smell.
We ate here Easter Sunday and had the set menu for Euro and what followed was probably the best meal we had in La Clusaz just pipping L'Ourson. courses featuring Asparagus Veloutee, Lamb, and an indulgent choclate dessert to highlight three of...them. Great service, sublime food, and an extensive wine list Heartily recommend and would revisit!
Superb celebration meal. The starter was fantastic (pork ravioli) and the main course superb all in our party were Impressed. The wine waitress was knowledgeable and gave good advice on local wines.
