After visiting the Vimy Ridge war memorial we drove to Arras in search of a bite to eat. It looked nice from the outside so we stopped. Parking a breeze, just across the street. We were late for lunch, it was gone 2:00pm and the waitress indicated that the kitchen was closed. She didn't speak English (which made it authentic and off the tourist path) but we managed to understand that there was something by way of a little salad that they could do so we ordered that. We were thinking it'd be a few bits of lettuce with maybe a couple of tomatoes and a slice or two of cucumber but what came was a feast of a salad. Wow!
