This restaurant is what most local people I met recommend when You ask them about a restaurant in Soest. I have been there a couple of times for various occaisons.The place itself is a medieval house with mostly small rooms on two levels, which adds a lot to the atmosphere, but leaves little room for bigger groups.The food is essentially a lot of Schnitzel (pork) dishes. And all of them are huge. The downside is, that contrary to public belief the Schnitzel are average at most and tend to be a little to dry. the beer is really delicious. unfortunately we had to wait for the food. one of the services it served at another table. when paying attention to the fact that an apology would have been nice. it can always happen, but then please inform the guests immediately. my black medals were unfortunately also on one side black.

We loved the food and the staff. The quality was excellent and the portions huge. The staff were attentive and friendly. They were very relaxed about us bringing our large dog inside and brought him a bowl of water. This was a wonderful place to bring a family.

It is good advice to order a table. I didn’t but was lucky and squeezed behind the bar. The Food is local and good,their beer is excellent. Nice place to visit but book in advance!

Had a great lunch in this place. Nice schnitzel with fresh mushrooms, French fries and a little salad on the side for a decent price. Super beer as well.
