We attended a cooking class in an intimate setting at Bravo Nader. Its been a week now and we have not stopped talking about the amazing experience. Chef Nader is a first class chef, teacher, entertainer and overall wonderful person. He made the day exciting, enjoyable and educational. Together with his wife, Mary, the entire experience left us in awe. We had delicacy food that we never would have even considered trying. On an off street of the town of Huntington is this small quaint Italian Restaurant. The dining room is small with an old tired appearance but there patrons will wait for almost an hour to sit at one of their tables. That is what we almost did with reservations. We waited for quite a while but the restaurant did serve us wine on the house to relax us while we wait. Personally I thought the food was good but I did not blow me away. Bravo Nader is a quirky cute Italian Seafood restaurant tucked just north of but still in Huntington village. Reasonably well lit, white table cloths and upbeat Italian music playing.. Tony Bennett, Sinatra etc. 13 tables so if Fri/Sat could be a wait. There 20 years, the owner based on photos enjoys fishing and cooking. Upon entry immediately greeted in this cozt Italian restaurant. As soon as se were seated, water, bread, app and drink order were taken. WOW service from entry to exit was PHENOMENAL. We are tough customers. I always say i work hard for and want to feel important when i go out. Scallop appetizer exceptional Warm burrata a delight to the most discerning palate. We had a really great meal here last weekend and the service was exceptional too. Nader is an excellent host and treats all his customers like family. I mentioned sweetbreads to him when I made our reservation and he was kind enough to prepare them specially and put them on his specials menu as an appetizer. The crab cake appetizer was very good and our main courses, stuffed pork chops and lamb shank osso bucco were delicious. The portions are so huge that we were lucky to have taken home half for another enjoyable meal. One of the other highlights was the totally amazing Napolean and the custard inside it was heavenly! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food, all fresh ingredients and very tasty. Four of us shared several appetizers and they were all delicious. We all enjoyed our dinners and would Definitely recommend this restaurant. Be sure to Make reservations as the restaurant seating area is small. Service is great. Friendly and attentive. A bit pricey for the location.
