Fantastic location, very friendly staff, food was cooked to absolute perfection on Saturday 08.01.22 when I was there. Steak was perfect and cooked precisely as I requested it! Compared to its competitors the service, atmosphere and particularly the food was a first class experience at very reasonable prices, far beyond the competition. Will be taking the whole family for Sunday lunch soon. Thanks to the service staff and the kitchen chefs, who often get unnoticed but who are the engine behind the business, for such an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!
the service was excellent in the evening and in the morning for breakfast. we were in the premier inn next door for 2 nights and had eat in the brewers fayre. there were quite a lot of dishes from the menu due to the supply problems, but it did not spoil it as there is still much to choose. we ate early the 2nd night and was in the position to choose from the reduced day menu served during the week to 18 o'clock. it was 2 net for £8.99, which was cheaper than a meal from the evening menu.
A very nice meal out in friendly and picturesque surroundings. First sat next to a window overlooking the canal, which although was a lovely view, the fact that the sun was glaring in made it hot and uncomfortable to sit. This was not a problem for our helpful and friendly waitress who moved us to another table away from the sun's glare. Meals were delicious and well presented. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Just had a fantastic Sunday roast at the Marina. Wasn't expecting much as most carvery tend to be boring and bland. I had the gammon, which was juicy and tender. Roast potatoes, were fresh and crispy and had a good selection of vegetables. Would definitely come back, and recommend in a heart beat. Staff our friendly, specially Emma who stood out. Visited this morning with my husband and daughter. Lovely all you can eat breakfast. Good selection of hot food and cereals, pastries and fruit. Lovely setting by a canal. Only downside to our visit was that they'd run out of sweetener and hot chocolate. Definitely will visit again as very good value and very pleasant.
beautiful location, right on the channel side. I have booked a table to catch up with children and grandchildren. had a fantastic night even with the lacks that are not to blame of the restaurant. our waiter tom was very helpful and attentive. great service, short waiting time and a clean well maintained restaurant.
Excellent Sunday roast. Great place to eat outside with the view of the canal and to enjoy a first class lunch. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good selection of beers. Roasted Parsnips and the Yorkshire Pudding were just perfect. You can go back for extra vegetables if needed
