Bridge Cottage Cafe

Really lovely little café, worth going out of your way for. We had the soup sandwich combo options and weren't disappointed at all. The soups were hearty, healthy and certainly seemed ultra fresh. The bread used in the sandwiches was wonderful and clearly baked in-house. Fillings plentiful too. Even the coffees and cake we had were great, would highly recommend for anyone and everyone. The only one small feedback I would have is to slightly extend the sandwich options if possible. When we went they had about 3 options on the menu, all of which seemed quite similar, but perhaps 5 options would be about right and remain manageable for them.

After a chilly and windy ride on the NC500, I stopped here for a hot drink, and it was a great decision. I enjoyed an excellent lentil soup that was perfectly seasoned and served with fresh homemade sourdough bread. Since it was off-peak tourist season, I was delighted by the attention to detail in the place. The interior was warm and cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax. The coffee, sourced from a specialty roaster in Inverness, was also quite good. I would definitely recommend this place!

We stumbled upon this delightful gem during our NC500 tour, and it was a lovely surprise. The restaurant is cozy, with a charming design that adds to the experience. The food is outstanding—everything is fresh and incredibly delicious! One rarity on this island is the emphasis on fresh vegetables, and here we enjoyed a perfect serving of raw salad and cauliflower salad, which made for a fantastic complement to our delicious sandwiches and chips. This is truly a wonderful place. We loved it!

it is not easy to find somewhere at this time of the year in poolewe at midday, fortunately the bridge cafe has reopened today for the winter season. what a jewel! a impeccable service and tasty eating, a fusion between British and Spanish. we had both the tortilla with fresh brot and salat, the mandelkuchen went well down and also the muffin, all so delicious. we are planning a second visit later this week. oh, and real hot chocolate made in a pan. I visited Poolewe back in July of 2014 with a friend of mine. We took our girls up for a week. Such a beautiful small town. I am from the United States and this is by far one of my most favorite places. We spent a lot of time in this cafe. I can't wait to come back.

vegan options are available for lunch, including suppe of the day and hummus sandwich. very tasty. the house made sourdough brot is exceptionally good.

I love places like this! It's small and cozy, and the food was excellent. The fresh bread, drizzled with olive oil, and the roasted eggs were amazing!
