Briocherie Arpin - Reserva de mesa

This little bakery has dining areas outside when warm and upstairs when cold. The staff speak little English, but are delightfully helpful. The bakery goods are as good as any in Carcassonne and the coffee is excellent. We stayed in Carcassonne for nine days and would have visited the bakery at least six times - and every time met other English or Australians doing the same. Definitely the best cafe on the square.

Had a croque monsieur, tea and coffee and some of the best French tarts and desserts in Carcassonne! Easily the best food on the central square but seems to get over-looked for other places. You can tell it's good when locals are using it for their lunches. You have to go inside for service, but the staff will carry your order out for you on trays. Grab lunch or afternoon cakes here, you won't regret it!

We stayed just around the corner from Place Carnot in Carcassonne a couple of weeks ago, and visited this patisserie on a Tuesday morning whilst people watching on market day. We had a coffee and a pain au raisin which was wonderful and light. We liked the products on sale so much that we were back there at 7.30 the next morning to get some filled baguettes to take for the plane journey back to UK !

There are few cake and tea shops in Carcassonne town, not the mediaeval cite, this is probably the only one. It feels like a recent start up - new staff undergoing training, new payment facilities, etc. But it was a very promising start in our opinion. Reserva una mesa ahora

Here you can sit and enjoy a light lunch, cakes, coffee and watch the world go by...I had the most excellent lemon macrooms here. Great location adjacent to local square where there was a market on Tuesdays and live music on Wednesday...

Just had a lovely lunch here. We had delicious croque monsieurs and cappuccino. Great place to people watch at the market. Lovely friendly staff. The cakes looked amazing, we'll try those next time.

Good location right on the square with a nice selection of herbal teas. The tiramisu & pastries were horrible, dry like it sat out for a couple of days.
