Today, I found myself waiting to grab a quick beer after a long week, only to see three people attempt unsuccessfully to open the locked doors. It's almost 4:30 PM—maybe they've changed their hours? Regardless, it's disheartening to witness the place on the verge of becoming a shadow of its former self, losing that hint of edgy sophistication. I urge you to visit while you still can; it won't be long before the high-end liquor bottles are emptied, the drinks are watered down, and the unsettling atmosphere returns.
This could be a fun place. It's funny inside and so open. You have cool things on the walls and an area where a band often has to play. The problem is the atmosphere. If you are not a regular or long time Brisbane based, you can feel very unwilling. I went to my birthday (mind I live in Brisbane) and immediately felt how the room looks at me. I just wanted to drink with a friend before I go to dinner. It was unpleasant to say the least. So it could be a great place!

I really enjoyed the fresh and healthy food. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. The atmosphere was relaxed and the place was clean.

Vibrant atmosphere. Renown, personal and knowledgeable bartender Francis Kelly. A great place to meet up with friends.
Historical bar, decorated with buffalo and deer heads. Sometimes packed, sometimes empty. Nice bartender!
