My husband and I went to the restaurant on de la Commune in Old Montreal for dinner before a show. The service was the worst I have ever experienced, and the food was just okay. We had to ask three times for water before the bus person brought one glass for my husband. She then looked at me and asked if I wanted one too, which we found unnecessary since we had already asked for water three times. My iced tea glass remained empty throughout the meal, and the server never asked if I wanted a refill. At least I had my water by then. Apparently Brisket Montreal is frequented by large groups, as on the day we were here. Three different noisy groups were here for lunch, and the owners resorted to using a microphone in order to be heard over the din so they could explain to the last group how their smoked meat is processed and what was available to order. A tight fit between tables. We had the smoked meat (from brisket of beef) sandwich, chips, slaw, fruit, pickle. The sandwiches were greasy, as were the chips (fries to Americans). Just average food in my opinion.
This unmissable dish of Canada is offered in this restaurant as in many others and for a first time I was not disappointed the discovery plate was very satisfactory in addition to that a very pleasant and competent waitress. Correct value for money a warm room we finish this good meal to Make in Montreal without any hesitation.

Was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. Priced right for the portions and we enjoyed the poutine and smoked meat burger. Didn't break the bank. Would return again
to discover pig's trotters, smoked meat or poutine in a nice, no-frills and convivial restaurant; the waitress is at the top and the dishes are delicious; preferred address.

We visited this restaurant to try their famous smoked meat dish. It was absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly as well.
