I am utterly baffled. First, let me say that I unfortunately didn’t even get to try the pizza. I heard good things so decided to call for a catering/business opportunity for my work (I’m an event manager). I called once before in the day and the owner was supposed to call me back, but he did not so I decided to try one last time. The second time I called, the person who answered the phone was the rudest person I think I’ve ever spoken to on the phone at least in the last ten years. I know they say New Yorkers can be harsh I’m from there, I know, but this guys behavior was atrocious. Needless to say they lost a HUGE opportunity. It’s a shame really.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and is conveniently located. My husband and I often walk by it on our way to Whole Foods, so we finally decided to give it a try. I went for the NY Style pizza, specifically the pepperoni, while he opted for the gluten-free sausage pizza. My pizza was just average in both appearance and taste—nothing special. The crust was lackluster, and the toppings were sparse. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5. If you're looking for authentic NY Style pizza in LA, I recommend Joe’s Pizza in Santa Monica. Their slices are delicious and generously sized!
Brooklyn Brick Oven pizza truly delivers the taste of New York! As a picky connoisseur of authentic New York pizza, I'm thrilled to say this place exceeded my expectations. The pizza was simple and straight to the point, with a perfectly crispy crust. Every bite was a delightful reminder of why New York pizza is renowned worldwide. Highly recommend!
Save your money and just buy a frozen pizza. The pizza here is below average, and it's also hard to locate the restaurant.
