When I placed my order, I specifically asked the staff if they had the tender part of the brisket. The young woman at the counter seemed confused by my question and, to be honest, came off a bit rude, as if my inquiry was an inconvenience. I had initially asked the shorter gentleman taking orders, who whispered to her before she came over. When I tried to clarify my request for the moist part of the brisket, it was clear she was annoyed, so I decided to just go ahead with my order. I have wanted to go here for a while as a lot of people rave about the BBQ, so as always I will preface my post in saying a am a home pitmaster. Time of dining 7 pm. I prefer a BBQ spot between 4-6pm. Why, because BBQ dries out. We ordered the chickenwings and pulled pork nachos for apps. Nachos we're good the pulled pork was a little dry. The chicken wings l didn't personally try the others in my group liked them. For the main course we ordered the family feast. It says it serves 4-6. The pulled pork in the family feast tasted much better than the appetizer version. I had the brisket as my main dish; it was decent but also a bit on the dry side. The ribs were tasty, although I didn’t sample the chicken. One standout dish was the cornbread – it’s definitely worth trying! We also ordered three sides of macaroni and cheese, which was excellent – possibly the best I’ve ever had. The candied yams were great as well, though I didn’t get the chance to try the smoked beans. Overall, it was a worthwhile visit. I felt we received a fair amount of food for the price. The service was good too, with no issues to report.
Absolutely great bbq! And we?ve eaten a lot of bbq in the Carolinas so this ranked with the best of them. Very happy it?s only 40 minutes from where we live and worth every mile. The cornbread was served warm, was moist and had a slightly sweet top. Allthe meats were juicy and flavorful and the sides of slaw, potato salad, mac n? cheese and beans were all just the way we likethem. Great service, loved the playlist and the metal trays we ate off! As I perused the menu, the burger instantly grabbed my attention, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Brothers Classic, which included fries, as I wanted to keep my spending in check. It was quite delicious, particularly the juicy meat. I finished my meal rather quickly and felt very satisfied. The cornbread we had as an appetizer was also quite tasty. Overall, I would love to return, as there appears to be a lot to explore at this restaurant.
What a delightful surprise during our road trip! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. The brisket was among the best I've ever tasted, and the ribs had a perfect smoky and peppery flavor. They even offer custom sausage shipped in from Texas, which was flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. I wish we lived closer! I would love to come back and try the entire menu of Southern favorites. Highly recommend!
