Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor

I expected this place to be overrated but it was every bit worth the trip to forest park!! Loved the old school midwestern ice creamery feel, but more importantly the ice cream was delicious and so creamy! The coconut tasted like actual coconut! It is on the pricier side but the scoops are huge!! You can also get a half and half option if you want to try two flavors. The only thing I don't really like is the set up of the register and ordering system. It feels like they would benefit from multiple registers because the line is really long but they do keep it moving quick and you get the ice cream almost right after you order which keeps it from melting. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I'm a firm believer in good customer service, and while the parlor had a unique, almost cult-like vibe, my child and I decided to give the ice cream a try. However, there were five staff members behind the counter, and not a single one greeted us or asked if we were ready to order. We waited there for five minutes, hoping someone would acknowledge us, but even though they all looked our way, no one bothered to ask if we were ready to order. Being irritated doesn't even begin to cover it. My child suggested we leave because he was fed up with being ignored.

Brown Cow is a small batch ice cream shop located in Forest Park, IL. The venue has an old fashioned feel as you can tell from the interior and exterior photos. They also play Dixieland music as background music. Brown Cow has a nice selection of ice cream flavors, which they gladly have you sample. I ended up ordering the Kribi Espresso in a cake cone. The flavor was great and had hints of crushed up espresso. The only drawback with my ice cream was it wasn't creamy throughout, as I had a few bites of icy ice cream. Overall, not a bad place for homemade ice cream.

I was really excited to discover that they had a vegan butter pecan flavor when we visited! They store the vegan options in the back, so if you don't see them, just ask. Both the vanilla and butter pecan flavors are coconut-based, which gives them a distinct coconut flavor. My cousin isn’t a fan of coconut, so it wasn’t her favorite. I enjoyed it, but I think it would be even better if it were made from soy or oat milk! The staff was wonderful and answered all our questions. The atmosphere definitely has an old-fashioned charm! After reading the owner's statement, I'm reconsidering my review. The ice cream shop I visited that evening had a small table to the left as you entered and a long counter along the right wall. It was a compact space filled with boxes they use for baking. Is it the same place, or is there a different ice cream and bakery nearby? It might be another location, as I had to skip my first choice because it was closed.

Incredible flavors and outstanding service! This is my favorite spot for frozen treats. The location is always tidy, and the customer service is friendly and attentive, with a wide range of options available. This summer, I was excited to find that my vegan brother was able to enjoy a custom vegan frozen delight made by a friendly server who fulfilled his requests.

Hard to say anything that hasn?t already been said about this long-running local establishment. Been coming here since they opened when I was little. The ice cream here is something special. My favorite flavors are the chocolate peanut butter andbirthday cake. I also love Baa?s Fudge Fantasy, a sundae served over a brownie. This is a must visit if you?re in town!

I ordered a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich and they cut it in half because we were sharing it. The ice cream was good but I was hoping the cookie would be fresh but it was a frozen cookie sandwich that had been prepped in advance. Still good butnothing revolutionary. Reserva una mesa ahora
