What makes a difference of 10 km? We started with the grilled corn cheese. That was pretty good because it wasn't fried in this oil (although you can't really screw corn and cheese). We ordered everything two. Everything had this strange oil aftertaste. The shrimps were cut longitudinally; so you get only one and half a shrimp. The bread was so thick. The fish was tasteless. The pig was super small. The sauce was even watered. The only thing that was good was the rice. We felt completely dissatisfied and went to the food dish for other foods. This isn't our first time at Brown Donkatsu. We were on Yonge Street. Food quality is so much better. I would recommend driving the extra 10km to yonge...
Excellent donkatsu place! We drove 1 hour to this place and just came when they opened. This place is busy! We had pork, shrimp, curry and cheese. All were 5 out of 5. I wish Curry was a Spicier (it is mild Japanese style).. But I didn't ask if they had a hot version. You have a spicier version I didn't try. Original sauce can begin a bit sweeter after halfway through, but overall very delicious. Great serving, great friendly service (Markham location)!
Incredible food, generous portions, friendly staff. Ordered tonkatsu which is a must try, well worth the value. Tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce made the meat even more flavourful. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly restaurant. Many family with children present in the past two visits.
My new favourite katsu spot in markham! Reasonably priced katsu with tons of flavour and generous portions. They have a good selection of ramen as well (I got the king ramen which was delicious and spicy). Staff is friendly and polite, and everything is cooked and served with care. Will definitely be returning for more ?

Probably the best tonkatsu in the area! Price is pretty good and service is great. During dinner there is a little waiting time, but this is what the area expects. I really like to choose the spicy level for the sauce. There is a plate with each of the proteins for a varied dinner.
Absolutely love this restaurant.Honestly needs more recognition.The food is quite large portions and it's very fresh.For the price it's right.Only aspect is this place needs a bigger seating area, or just a bigger restaurant cause when it gets packed, it's packed.
Pretty solid place to get some donkatsu. The portions are good and the donkatsu is always fried nicely. Service is nice too and food comes out quickly. They do get pretty busy during prime time so if you're going around lunch/dinner time expect a wait.
Food always hits. The Katsu has the perfect amount of crispiness and tenderness and is overall delicious. Portions are generous and put at reasonable price. The quality coming out of this restaurant is astounding. Y’all never miss

The taste of deep roasted chicken and shrimp is good, but the rice size is too low. Don't eat ravens here. I think the instant noodles are better. The waiting time for the food is long. Please be patient.
The location’s parking lot is crazy packed but the food was worth the trip. The corn cheese is a must have!
