I ordered the chicken pie with a side of fries, while my partner went for the 10oz sirloin with garlic potatoes. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. My partner couldn't finish her meal, but they kindly offered to pack up the leftovers for us to take home.
For dessert, I ordered the lemon cheesecake with ice cream, which was slightly mixed up by the distracted waiter who brought me a fresh dessert instead. Nevertheless, it was delicious and came topped with fresh berries and honeycomb.
With a large glass of wine for me and a pint of beer for my partner, the bill came to just over £60. It had been a while since we last visited, but I would recommend this place for a leisurely...
First time back here in 5 years. The ambience is not great tbh with decor that seems to date from the 70s. I hear Retro is the new fad though, so I suppose that will be trendy soon enough. On a Saturday it definately attracted an older crowd and many were clearly regulars as were known to the staff. Nothing dated about the food. There was a good choice on the menu, and it was really, really good. Decent portions and beautifully cooked. At least 2 of these 4 Stars goes to the kirchen. Staff were professional and friendly too!
Food as always was 1st class, special menu updated every time we visit at least 5 assorted specials which differ on every visit. I had seafood dish was so fresh, wife had the roast beef, kids ate every bit of their dinner. Staff so friendly and curtious. A special mention to Derek who is so welcoming, friendly and accommodating always takes time out to catch up with the kids. Honestly such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere love this place
Top-notch food and service. I started with a delicious salad and followed it up with the sautéed chicken for the main course, paired with a refreshing pint of Rockshore. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, along with the excellent table service, made for a great dining experience. The generous portion sizes left me feeling satisfied, and I have a hearty appetite.

always a high standard of food. restaurant manager very friendly and competent via menu choices. we decide to eat in cash and although it was a Monday, there was a lively atmosphere. it was mentioned that it was my sister's birthday and manager a beautiful note by making a candle on her dessert and personal sang happy birthday to her.
had great lunch with the family today. excellent value, nice eating. very courteous for man who is gf. brill friendly staff. now see irland rugby game. will be back. highly recommended.
Brilliant service and superb food. There were 13 of our family there and not one complaint. (Apart from no profiteroles anymore lol) Looking forward to our next visit.

that is the best culinary experience in bangor. always the most attentive staff and management. large menu, large service and cheap prices.
Honestly one of the nicest Sunday Roasts I've had and desert was amazing. Staff are brilliant very attentive will definitely be back.
