It was our last night in Quebec City for a basketball tournament at Laval University and we had a craving for poutine. It was a snowy winter evening on December 30 and we arrived 15 minutes before closing. The server, Kelly, was very gracious and talked the kitchen staff into preparing a couple servings of poutine for my son and I. We are so glad she did. I am not a poutine expert but it was by far the best poutine I have ever enjoyed. The fries were crispy, the cheese curds were perfect consistency and the gravy was tasty and not too salty. The Montreal smoked meat in my opinion is the best I have ever had. But the the neighbourhood and the location of the restaurant, the atmosphere and the staff are second to none. I speak very little French but had no problems communicating with every one. The meat is cooked to perfection, just the right amount of fat to meat ratio and lots of it. I ordered the big plate (la grande assisted) you get a pile of meat on a plate and eight slices of bread and you build your own sandwiches. You also get a pile of great tasting hand cut fries. I will definitely go back again.
Was ungry to have a great smoke-meat and since we knew this place was known for that for a long time, but since our last visit years ago, this place was closed for bankruptcy and then re-open with a new owner, well place looks great and well maintained but thats It food is just ok, service is just ok, and after all we were disappointed and this was the last time we went at all.
We were in the mood for a smoked meat sandwich and stumbled upon this place online. We were not disappointed! The food was fantastic. I ordered a meat sandwich with salad, while my husband opted for a sandwich with fries. The service was top-notch - quick and helpful, even though we speak very little French. This place is a must-visit if you find yourself in Quebec City.

I lived in Quebec for 4 years and tried several places and I still think this is the best. Today I returned after 2 absent years in Quebec and the taste of the meal is awesome. And if you include a Rousse beer, then you 're done.
Brynd smoked meat restaurant is excellent!! Service was super friendly. If you ask for “lean”, they give you almost fat-free sandwich, still tender and juicy. Great job!!
This is the best smoked meat poutine I have ever eaten! The service was excellent and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
A place to discover. Excellent food, very courteous service and a friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be going back.

Just what the doctor ordered!!!! Nice poutine and good smoked meat. It was very quiet when we visited. Staff were very friendly.
Visited this old favourite and noticed revamped interior (new owner? . Glad to say, smoked meat on rye as good as always.
