Blink and you?ll miss it. This yummy hidden treasure is a few steps down from the sidewalk right on Prospect Street in La Jolla. We had a little of EVERYTHING?.chicken, ribs, chopped brisket, sweet potato w/ melted brown sugar, broccoli and the kind of double baked mac-n-cheese you could only dream about. I first discovered Bubba?s while in town for work about 10 years ago and spent eating there every night while I was in town. Almost forward 10 years came back in town and so glad to see them still in business, the owners are super friendly and the food is fantastic. If your BBQ lover will definitely try them out. PS try the Mac n cheese you can thank me later :

As a Kansas City native, this place was pretty good. If I could give half a star I would give it a 3.5. The ribs were tender and tasted great. The chicken wasn't my favorite, and the sides weren't super flavorful. I was presently surprised by the homemade bbq sauce that was served with the meal.

Great BBQ!! We had the Beef Rib plate and bbq pulled chicken plate and both were OMG! Fantastic! The sweet bbq sauce they have is a winner! And the Sweet Tea.. Wowza! Hit the spot. This is a 5? place for sure!!

Here on a bike tour. Wow, it wasn't disappointed. All 8 in our group said it was amazing. Meat was tender and full of taste. BBQ sauce was best we ever had. Great service and prices. Highly recommended d
