There are also two portable restrooms available. They serve Richardson's ice cream, including hard ice cream (nearly $5 for a small) and soft serve, as well as banana splits (almost $11) and sundaes. The fried haddock is priced at around $8.xx, and to-go packages come with napkins, salt, and pepper—just make sure to ask for any extras you might need. The piece of fish was quite thin, but it was cooked in fresh oil, making for a decent sandwich. You can also add your own seafood."
I love these types of restaurants. Everything is take out and they have a lot picnic tables in the back. They have a lot of food options and many flavors of soft and hard serve ice cream. I had a hot dog with fries and the bun was toasted to perfection. I also had a cup of the clam chowder. The food was great and comes out quick. For ice cream I had the raspberry swirl with sprinkles. It was hard to pick a flavor because there were so many. A nice spot to stop by on a nice day.
Not sure why this place has lines...we will not be coming back. If you want both hard and soft ice-cream you have to wait on 2 separate lines and make 2 separate transactions. If you want food it's also a separate line. Staff is rude and not helpful. The outdoor seating area is spacious and has a little brook if you have the patience to get there.
I have been going to Bubbling Brook for several years. They have great food that one does not eat every day. I am wondering whether Bubbling Brook works with delivery services such as Uber Eats or other delivery services to deliver outside the Westwood area. I am in West Roxbury, but would love that once-a-year-end treat. I'm just curious.

Seasonal ice cream spot restaurant. This location is always busy during the warmer months. They have an extensive list of hard soft ice cream with window service a fully functional restaurant inside. There is a large grassy area with lots of picnic tables for seating. Took away one star for inflated price small serving size.
This lively street café offers a wide variety of lunch options, including fried mussels, burgers, and both hard and soft ice cream. It stands out for its better taste, quicker service, and lower prices compared to similar establishments. The outdoor seating by the brook is a lovely touch. We highly recommend it for families!
Went this past Saturday for the first time in years and had a fabulous cup of Maple Walnut!! Caught a small crowd around 2pm, so we lucked out as we could also find a table to sit and enjoy the nice afternoon. Hope to be back a few times this season and try a few flavors!
A great place to stop for an ice cream, either hard or soft serve or even food. Fast and efficient service. Tables outside the lawn. Children can explore a small stream next to the sitting area. Even dogs get their pup cup.

The ice was fantastic, and the food was quite good, especially the burger and turkey club. I really liked the atmosphere; there's a picnic table in the back and plenty of room for everyone. I highly recommend it!
