As a Hungarian, I had never come across chimney cakes before visiting this store, but now I can't believe what I've been missing! We tried two varieties: the original, which is simply coated in sugar, and the cinnamon and sugar version. Both are absolutely fantastic! They offer a unique taste and texture—crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. While they have other treats available, we only indulged in the chimney cakes. Make sure to stop by and give them a try; you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

No trip to Niagara on the Lake is complete without stopping by The Budapest Bakeshop for a delightful chimney cake! My personal favorite is the classic sugared version—it's always fresh, sweet, and absolutely delicious! The savory options are fantastic as well. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the location is beautiful. This is definitely a must-visit!

Oh man absolutely delicious chimney cakes and sandwiches. We had an everything bagel cake and a Turkey and pesto sandwich on a baked cheddar cake. They were so good we went back the next day and got the same thing. I would go out of my way for this place. The Oreo cheesecake was also fantastic. This is one of our favorite spots to enjoy a tasty snack while in Niagara on the Lake. They provide a wide selection of flavors to choose from. Chimney Cakes are made by wrapping dough around a wooden cylinder, which is then removed to serve the freshly baked treat. You can observe the whole process taking place right inside the shop.

Incredible chimney cakes made fresh every day! I was simply passing by when I caught a whiff of the delightful baking smells, so I turned around and managed to find parking right out front. Located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, this place is a must-try—you'll absolutely love it!

Love the pastry here. I ordered the almond chimney . There’s no place to sit around . Luckily there’s a Starbucks next door to order coffee and enjoy the pastry. This is a must try when visiting Niagara on the lakes .
