Buddy's Pizza Downtown Detroit

Was excited to eat at Buddy's, THE Detroit Style pizza originator. I have learned that Detroit style pizza is my favorite. I've bought countless pies from other stores that have stolen this beautiful creation. We also bought an Ooni oven and Llyod pans to make our own. I owe this place a great big thank you for creating such an amazing tasting pizza that we are trying to replicate!We tried the 4 corner Detroiter. It looked yummy. The outside edge crust was crispy and had good chew. The bottom crust was neither caramelized nor crispy like I thought it would be. The pizza was pretty good Detroit Style and our server was very nice and got our food and drinks out quickly. We ended on a bad note though. There are cards on every table showing happy hour deals. When we got our bill the pricing did not reflect this. We were told that we don't have happy hour here anymore. This card was on every table in the place! The manager did honor it after our insistence. I wonder how many people have been ripped off? And this place had been featured on Good Morning America that day..... Bad business practice. There are other good pizza choices in Detroit.

I was recommended to visit this restaurant while in Detroit, and I can see why! The pizza was delicious with a perfect crust and just the right amount of sauce. The toasted garlic on top was a pleasant surprise and added to the overall experience. The wings were also excellent, much better than what you typically find at pizza places. For dessert, I tried a slice of the lemon cake which was unlike anything I had tasted before. It wasn't overly sweet but packed with flavor, making it a unique and enjoyable treat. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Detroit.

I recently had one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted at this restaurant. It was exactly how I like it and I would give it 5 stars. The service was great as well. However, my experience took a turn for the worse when I went to use the restroom at the end of my meal and found one of the chefs using it. I was completely disgusted by what I saw and it tarnished my opinion of the place. I typically am not easily bothered by these things, but this was just too much for me. Reserva una mesa ahora

This place has the best pizza and I would drive the three hours that it would take me from where I live in Canada just to eat it again!The dough was perfectly fluffy, yet crispy and the toppings were flavourful and cooked to perfection. We had the Sicilian and the Henry Ford, and both were incredibly delicious. Even my husband (who is more accustomed to European-style pizza) loved the food here.Can we get a Buddy's Pizza in Canada, please?

This restaurant is amazing! The Minestrone Soup is thick and tasty, the serving of Raviolis is huge with delicious bread sticks and sauce. The side salad was also excellent. The service was fast and excellent - Jada was friendly and professional. The pizza looked amazing and the portions are large.

Buddy's pizza was good, very good. It tasted like most other pizzas, but in a different shape.....nothing extremely different about the flavor or taste. The wings at Buddy's had an amazing flavor, but were MICROSIZED!Service was good too. Will go back, and recommend to others to try Detroit pizza.

I 'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza (it 's neck and neck between Detroit style and NYC style weird dichotomy I know) so getting a slice , really 4 squares, from the birthplace of the Detroit style is one for the books. Highly recommend going here for some good pizza! Reserva una mesa ahora
