So looking forward to having a nice, simple Japanese meal and thought will give Buen ANOTHER go.Hubby and I ordered a bento box, tonkotsu ramen and sashimi. All three dishes are disappointing.Bento box: crumbed salmon were dried, tempuras prawns and salmon were soft not crispy, salmon sashimi not fresh, rice…even simple rice, not fresh! Can tasted it was from overnight.Tonkotsu ramen: the soup tasted like thin dashi stock full of pepper fragrance. It was not thick and rich with fragrant milky texture.Sashimi: not freshEven the Japanese tea don’t have it’s green tea frangrance.After they change from Fuji Station in Victoria Park to Buen, our family still follow but don’t think the taste will...

Salmon nigiri and sashimi was delicious, really good quality. Udon soup broth had good flavour and the noodles weren't the standard thick udon but had great texture nonetheless. The tempura was crispy and also very good. Highly recommended!Sashimi cuts were a little on the small side but very well priced. The restaurant has minimal decor, food is very authentic and great quality.

We ordered the grilled salted salmon, but it didn't resemble the photo at all; it seemed more like it had been fried. Instead of one large piece as shown in the menu, it was served as two very small discs. The sashimi was fresh, except for the tuna, which was disappointing. Additionally, the pieces of sashimi were quite small.
