You are on the motorway and you want a steak....you can source small family run places I know but when time and hunger are not on your side you can normally rely on the Buffalo grills dotted around France. Like previous reviews they have become a bit of a family institution for us, a first stop off on the way to the south. This time we stopped again at the Boulogne location, quickly seated, free ' funny' salad and chewy bread role with a beer and, Im in France. Steak haches along with a le famous burger were very tasty and hit the spot for what we wanted. In and out in 45 mins plus good value as well. The Buffalo grill serves a purpose well and set us up for more interesting food on our jour...
I used to visit Buffalo Grill a lot as a child and have good memories of this place. The restaurant is a French take on a wild western eatery.We visited again recently on a day trip to the area and the food was exactly as expected, superb. The quality and flavour of the meat is excellent, and the starter salad you receive free of charge is really tasty. The only downside on this particular visit was that there were a lot of tables that hadn't been cleared despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Overall, a fun, family themed restaurant that serves good quality food. Parking is available free of charge on site and they are open 7 days a week which is convenient especially in France...
We chose the Buffalo Grill for its proximity to our motel. We didn't need to book and a table was found for us quickly. Service was excellent and, as the only French speaker in our party of it was a relief that the staff...spoke excellent English thus relieving me of my translation duties for the evening! Drinks were served promptly and the food was very good. Ok, it may have been better to finish the French holiday with a traditional French meal but in the absence of such a place after a mile drive the Buffalo Grill served us well. We all enjoyed our meals.
Buffalo Grill is essentially the French version of your typical American style restaurant/diner. They are all over the place in France. I find the food is quite good, at least my family and I have never had a bad meal there. Prices are average and the meals are filling. Nice choice of desserts and staff always seem friendly. Tip: If you order a latte, they don't do lattes, and you'll just get expresso with milk. Just order a large coffee with milk :)

On a Sunday evening in Boulogne there's not a lot of choice.We chose Buffalo Grill because you know what you're going to get for a chain restaurant.It was very busy but we got good basic food, and a good choice", courses with a bottle of wine for 50Euros is not a bad deal.The service was swift and efficient and the portions generous.Well worth a try especially if youy have kids with you.
We always choose the buffalo grill if staying near one. The welcome is cheerful and the service speedy. We particularly like the small salad offered while you choose your meal. The restaurants in this chain are popular and always fill up quickly but we have never had to wait long for a table. Despite the emphasis on beef dishes they do a very good fish and chips!
Don't expect great things from a restaurant like this, its really for the kids, but I was surprised that the burgers we had were actually very good and the portions plenty. Prices higher than a takeaway chain burger joint but better surroundings and pleasant staff, and much better food.
We visited as a family and really enjoyed our meal. The children were given colouring pencils and other treats, plus a coin to use in the arcade upstairs. Food was great pity that there’s no meal deal with the large steak but other deals...were very good value. Will be back, I hope!

We arrived and it was full of locals that we thought was a good sign but the steak was so hard that we sent it back, they replaced it with another cut but charged us the extra.The menu said that vegetables were unlimited but only one small dish arrived.
We always use this Buffalo Grill when staying overnight prior to the tunnel. The welcome is friendly, food and service good.
