I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here and this visit was no exception. I don't really understand the poor reviews. This place is a relaxed, unpretentious family friendly buffet diner. Perfect for groups, not particularly intimate or romantic, always popular. Service was particularly good today, friendly and polite. New manager since we last visited? Saw the owner who wished us a good evening as we left. They even bought us a silver platter, lighter for the candles, cutting knife, plastic cutlery and paper plates for our birthday cake we took with us. The food was delicious as always. TERRIBLE I brought a Groupon Coupon for Buffett amici for me and my new boyfriend after demands for dinners and lunches that I'm still trying to be free from the forced feedings that may happen worse if I don't fight the expectation. We purchased a Groupon for the seafood buffet at this restaurant. We are local, so it was convenient for us. The manager greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. We were promptly served water and a glass of red wine, which was decent for being included in the deal. The buffet wasn't the best I've ever had, but considering the price of the Groupon, it was good value for money. The prawns were fresh, and there was a small selection of salad, as well as delicious fish and calamari. There was also curry, pasta, vegetables, etc., providing plenty to keep us satisfied. I was very disappointed with this restaurant, especially after reading some positive reviews. Unfortunately, the overall experience was below average. The presentation of the food was lackluster and most of the selection was heavy on carbs like pasta and rice, which tasted overly salty. The fish was good, but it's hard to go wrong with deep fried food. While the buffet prices are low, the lack of variety and quality means it's not worth the money. We had a Groupon vouched for the buffet with a glass of wine. There was a reasonable selection but it was all very ordinary and boring. The food was boring and unappetising (even the pasta was underwhelming and it's an Italian restaurant! . I couldn't believe that they even served up a large container of store bought neapolitan icecream in its original container they didn't even try and pretend they had made it! The only good thing was that we didn't have the usual temptation at a buffet to overeat and were out of there in less than 45 minutes.
We recent hosted a birthday party and were recommended to Amici as a caterer. Could not have been happier with the dishes and the service. The scrumptious dishes were delivered piping hot, all of our guests came back for seconds and all wanted to know who I’d used as a caterer. We ordered the roast beef, lasagne, creamy potato and cauliflower gratin. Sensational and I highly recommend them.
our first visit here was a pleasant surprise. A very good buffet meal we had a meal deal which made it amazing value for money. Only negative was the time limit imposed by the owner which makes you think that you must rush and yet we found it ample but I think it puts people off returning.If you stayed longer you wold buy more drinks which is a high profit line for the owner.
I've never eaten in a restaurant worst than this. This place don't walk the talk. Food is pretty average . Chilli musseld overcooked. Food trays allowed to run low not topped up.
