This is a delightful little restaurant with adorable decor. With a few small adjustments, it could easily go from being just okay to brilliant. It would be helpful if they had a server come to take your order after seating, as we were unsure of the process and had to go up to the counter to order. It seems like they may need to improve their stock control as they had run out of rolls by 2:15pm. The food was tasty but the hot chocolate was not hot. The atmosphere was relaxed and I loved the decor. Overall, it was moderately priced but could benefit from some improvement in service and quality control.
My experience at this restaurant this morning was absolutely disgraceful. I came in with my dog and 9-week-old puppy for a coffee, and I was informed that it is their policy that the puppy cannot sit on my lap. The puppy was fully wrapped in a blanket with only her head visible, and she was far from the table. I was very disappointed with our experience as there was no safe place to put the puppy down since she is not fully vaccinated yet. The cafe was not busy, and the puppy was sleeping in my arms. I find their policy ridiculous, and unfortunately, I will not be returning to this place.
Sorry...but... the food was so bad...Lasagne was bland, macaroni was ok but the dish it was served in looked dirty and was cracked with sauce run over the side, the baked potato was hard,the soup was watery and flavourless, chips were hard bordering on burnt and I don't know how they managed to make a salad look so bad. The waitress that served us also took the money at the till and she looked embarrassed asking for the £45.00 bill...plus side our dog got a free sausage...will definitely not be back
Where do I begin with all that’s wrong about this place 1) Flies crawling over uncovered scones on counter 2) Vintage chipped enamel coffee pots used for tea 3) I witnessed Milk returned from tables being decanted back into milk carton 4. Instant decaff coffee being passed off as latte I could go on but fear of sounding too focused on modern living that a kitchen lady hand washing dishes , no sign of dishwasher On plus side staff pleasant Generous enough portions Dogs allowed Reserva una mesa ahora
We've enjoyed lunch at Bullands Coffee House several times and have always had a fantastic experience with excellent service. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. An added bonus is that they are pet-friendly, providing water and sausages for your furry friends, which is a really nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience.
