had a little work christmas party here and the food was great. really good quality and standard of food. good portions too. however, the staff at the bar created a table bill for drinks and when we went down to the bar, they insisted that we cannot pay for our drink separately from our table bill. this in turn created a large drink bill where they put a 20% service charge on top of all the drinks. the drinks took very long, some were forgotten and service was slow. the staff didnt seem like they knew how to handle large group bills as well. we had booked this a month beforehand and didnt seem prepared at all. when some of my colleagues tried to take off the OPTIONAL service charge, they argu...

This is what hipsters think a modern British Pub looks like. The food was just not good from start to finish. The gravy on the sunday roast was- there is no other word- disgusting. The roast potatoes were very dry, as was the Yorkshire pudding. The starter and dessert were alright. Even the Coke I ordered tasted nothing like coke, presumably because of the „dehydrated lemon slice“ in it. I would translate it into „rotten egg“. The service was awkward and slow (when I ask for the bill, I expect it to not be placed on my table to be stared at for 10 minutes but for the staff to follow quickly with a card reader). had a nice dinner here on the other day, although it was a bit too hot inside! the service was great, eating and the wine was delicious and it was easy to find with parking near. we were one of the last since it had such a great atmosphere and was still cozy. the foccacia was absolutely fantastic and the desserts were very nice with a good selection.

seven cursor tasting menu is excellent, would be ready to double for the quality of the food we receive in the evening. the team is very friendly and known about weeping and again very favorable in the addition to the wee pairings.

The beef from the grill isn't my liking (a bit too cooked) but I have to admit it is nicely done. The starters were very good (especially the squid which I forgot to photo). The sticky pudding is really really good!

A fabulous dinner out with my cousin, who lives locally. Everything was excellent and just as good as we experienced in 2019. Lovely ambience too. Highly recommend.
