"We enjoyed a nice lunch with wonderful views of Mannheim and Pfälzerwald. Service was excellent. Sausage salad was above expectations and French Fries fresh and tasty. The apple cake crispy and cream was delicious. Again and again in summer when we can enjoy the walk through the vineyards"

I try to get to Schriesheim every year, as my family as well as my school mates are there. During each visit a trip to the Strahlenburg is a must. After all, I played hide-and-seek there, climbed up to the top of the keep and in later years celebrated New Years. The view from the large terrace, on which the local wine tastes twice as good, into the Rhine flats, is nothing short of breathtaking. Immediately in front of the terrace is the "Kuhberg", probably the finest vineyard in the area and below the quaint town of Schriesheim. Four kilometers into the flatland the steeples of the 2800 year old Roman town of Ladenburg are clearly visible. The modern, yet cosy dining room offers comfort and also a great view. My visits are generally timed to coincide with Asparagus season, wine harvest, or a little later in the season, when local hunters supply fresh venison to the restaurant. All of the above is readily and deliciously available at the Burg-Gasthof Strahlenburg.

I try to come to Schriesheim every year as my family and my schoolmates are here. A trip to the Radiation Castle is a must. Finally I played hide-and-seek there, climbed to the top of holding and celebrated in later years New Years. The view from the large terrace, on which the local wine tastes twice as well, in the Rhine apartments, is not breathtaking. Immediately in front of the terrace is the Kuhberg, probably the best vineyard in the area and below the picturesque town of Schriesheim. Four kilometres into the flatland, the steepers of the 2,800-year-old Roman town of Ladenburg are clearly visible. The modern but cozy dining room offers comfort and a great view. My visits are usually time, with asparagus season, wine harvest or a little later in the season when local hunters supply fresh Venison to the restaurant. All of the above are available in Burg-Gasthof Radburg easily and deliciously.

First issue is with reaching the place. We drove there using both google maps and the Waze application (highly recommended, by the way). The road just below the castle was blocked so we had some hard time navigating by instinct to the place.Once we reached – the view was worth the wait. A superb view of the whole area. The food itself was pretty good. We reached during the ‘Asparagus Season’ so asparagus was a main ingredient in most dishes. Most of the dinner participants reported that they enjoyed their dish, and the service was also decent.
