Ordered a Lavender Latte, which was very flavourful (but pricey as the lavender add-on is an extra $1). The F.A.B. Salad was a little too vinegary for my taste buds between the vinaigrette and pickled red onions, but did have a decent mix of ingredients with apple and bacon. My companions were happy with their cheese-based entrees, the French Onion Soup and Gooey Cheese Grillers. We were given complimentary house bread and the wait staff was attentive and checked in regularly. After paying, we were not rushed out the door and encouraged to stay as we were still chatting. Really nice bistro to come for some comfort food. They also have happy hour, which we'll try out next time!
Dinner on a Saturday night. Was surprised that the restaurant was quite empty. Is it that maybe cozy comfort food is not as popular during the hot summer? We had mixed reviews of the food. Two of us were not excited about our meals (Beef Bourguignon and the Smoked Salmon Salad) whereas the other two loved their dishes (Chicken Parmesan sandwich Afterschool special). Our server was great though! Thank you!
For a father's day it wasn't packed until we left. We totally forgot it was father's day... OopsWe showed up at noon and there was a nice cozy both for us all to sit , including a walker.We ordered the gooey grilled cheese, the jambalaya, and the j chicken wings.All visually pleasing and all very delicious in taste.My first time here. We will be back.
Hit it ??! This is such a Vancouver staple. They have many locations and have been so consistent for years. I like the one on main Street because it has a patio and a good vibe. It definitely can get busy and they do take reservations. So call ahead if you don't want to wait. They should probably advertise this more but they are NUT free kitchen.

Comfort food place with lots of good options. Last time the had muled wine and it was perfect. Everything we tried was good so I think you can go wrong. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is cozy. Also outside area has heaters for cold weather.Parking: There is a motorcycle parking stop just next to the place.
Great restaurant with good menu selection. Had the soup and sandwich combo (after school sandwich). Elcubano was good and also tried the tasty chicken. Crab bisque was good. Had the sparkling Ting grapefruit drink. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
I can't eat dairy at all, but I can drool while people eat it. The grilled cheese looks incredible!! I had a Tuna appetizer, and the guacamole which were both great. But if you can eat dairy, don't mess around! Get the after school special!
The restaurant provides home style food that really delivers. The macaroni and cheese is really worth it along with the deserts and don’t forget them because they leave me satisfied each time I visit.

One of my fav places in Van. Best comfort food. Tomato soup is amazing. Love the ratatouille with a side of mash (mix them together), Mac and cheese, and cheese fondue.
Very cozy place, and the comfort food really delivers. Pleasant and hospitable staff. Our favourite bite was the banana bread pudding for dessert!
