We came for lunch to have some tacos and a fajita. The food was tolerably ok. The tacos had a funky flavor to them can not say that they were bad, can't say that they were good either. The fajitas were nothing special but good enough. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The music was quite enough that we could talk without shouting. One funny thing to me, not funny ha ha, but funny hum, was that we were the only people in the restaurant, I turned off the TV. I don't like TVs in restaurants I find them distracting from the conversation. The waitress immediately ran over and turned the TV back on. She said the other customers will complain. I said that we are the only customers. Go figure. Later the restaurant did start to fill up.
Sick of tasteless Tapas we just wanted a plate of food to ourselves! We called here on a locals advice and though we were too early for food we had a lovely big glass of Sangria before the kitchen opened and sat outside to watch the world go by. We ordered a plate of loaded Nachos to start and it was HUGE! Full of fresh ingredients and loaded with cheese, easily big enough for a full meal. I then had a Burrito my colleague Fajitas, both meals were enormous, a struggle to eat even half after the starter. They weren't particularly spicy but suited us fine. They left us almost struggling to walk they were that filling! Good food, good service and a good price.
Mexican restaurant in the old part of Alcala, acceptable food. Tasty nachos, good serving, a bit scarce on pico de gallo, but otherwise nice. Taco chipotle and beef taco, irregular, much better the second. Spicy, but not as much as expected, this being usual on most of the Mexican restaurants in Spain. Enjoyed dinner, food acceptable and sensibly priced. Service attentive. Worth a try if you're around.
