Nice friendly staff. Lacked atmosphere, lighting not quite right, no welcoming log fire (although log burner set up ready). Duck was poor, skin was soggy, meat was a little chewy and the dauphinoise potato was just some boiled potatoes in cream a far cry from expectations. Outside of pub is beautiful, but food and ambience needs work.

The staff were nice and friendly, but the food was just average and overpriced for what it offered. It got a bit chilly inside when the fire went out. I expected more atmosphere, especially since it was Christmas Eve and the place was busy. I would consider returning, but probably only for drinks.

I was so very impressed with the kindness and considerateness of the staff. Some of our party were unavoidably delayed, and they made great efforts to put me at my ease and ensure it wasn't a problem. The roast beef and lamb were just what we needed on a chilly, wet Sunday.

From the outside, the pub appears inviting, but inside it lacks a cozy atmosphere and feels somewhat outdated. The young woman who served us was lovely and encouraged us to try the roast, which was quite good. However, the unpleasant ambiance would deter us from returning.

Had eaten at the Bush under previous landlord and was pleasantly surprised with the new layout and decor. Once again, the food was delicious and I would thoroughly recommend it.
