The Buvette de Cabazac is a bar/restaurant worth a visit. We live in the nearby village of Bize so we know it well but if you are passing through it is THE place to stop for lunch and a cooling drink. If you are camping in the area the family who run the bar also run the Pizza restaurant next door where the pizzas are recommended by pizze aficionados. We often go for lunch, a three course menu for 13 Euros which includes 3 courses with a quarter litre of wine per person. The menu changes daily but nearly always includes a sirloin steak at a small surcharge. Today for example we had salad starter, of which you can have as much or as little as you fancy, Buvette Grill which was steak and chips...

We stopped here on a day out with my severely handicapped mother. The service, price and food were all excellent. There was even a toilet suitable for a wheelchair. We had the lunchtime menu which was 13.80 euros including wine. The food was simple but delicious, my husband had curried lamb meatballs with pasta, my mum and I had half spit roasted pousin with chips fried in duck fat and mixed vegetables, there is a buffet to start, then I had tarte au citron, my husband had a creme caramel and my mum had fromage blanc with. The brasserie was very busy but the service was good. I would not hesitate to recommend it, you could combine it with a visit to the olive oil mill which is next door and M...

Eccentric as only the French know how, as an extension to the filling station (don't buy fuel there, it's extortionate). Open lunchtimes as an excellent routier and Wednesday and Friday evenings as an oyster/mussels and speciality cheese bar/takeaway. You need to be there by 6pm! There is also a pizza addition which I found disappointing and lacking in atmosphere. If you like tapas it is that sort of atmosphere.

This roadside bar/cafe specialises in that old form of French gastronomy, value for money. The set lunches will keep you full until you. Can possibly nibble on a piece of cheese several hours later. Food wine are fresh and the service has a breezy effective charm. This is a local eatery we eat at often at leat once a fortnight when in Mailhac. I would recommend the Friday nights Oysters and wine. Reserva una mesa ahora

Incredible ingredients simply prepared and presented. There are many fancy chefs who could take lessons from the food that is prepared here. Always good quality always the right quantity and come early because it runs out fast!Friday at 6:00 pm for the oysters and cheese, duck in Orange is just one of the many dishes that are rotated round the kitchen for lunch time meals.

I don't know many places that include Duckling a l'Orange in their three course meal with 250ml wine for less than GBP 10.00! Not the best of decors, but certainly excellent food. Always a large crowd or regulars, so make sure you turn up before 12:30 when coming for lunch.I love this place.

This place is very popular with passing lorry drivers at lunchtime (the only time they serve food) and deservedly so. Great value menu-du-jour including a first course salad buffet, a choice for main courses and desert. Very good. Also a nice bar with a good choice of wines and beer.

We decided we needed a pizza break, and were really happy with this place. Oversized salads and pizzas, and a giant ice cream to finish. Very good for the weary cyclist who does not need a fancy meal but just something reliable and delicious. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lunchtime for eating is the best - as attested by all the passing Lordy drivers! The bar is good, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays if your an oyster and/or a cheese lover
